First, what actually happens to your skin

Fibroblast works by creating tiny controlled injuries on the skin’s surface using plasma energy. These micro-injuries — called carbon dots — trigger your body’s natural repair process, stimulating collagen and elastin production deep within the skin.

Those carbon dots are what cause the downtime. They’re small, dark, raised marks that appear immediately after treatment and stay on the skin for several days while your skin heals underneath.


Day by day: what to expect

Days 1–2: Redness, swelling, and carbon dots are most visible. The treated area will feel tight and slightly tender. Swelling around the eyes is common if that area was treated — this is normal and temporary.

Days 3–4: Swelling begins to subside. The carbon dots may start to look darker and more defined. Resist the urge to pick or scratch — this is the most important rule of Fibroblast aftercare.

Days 5–7: Carbon dots begin to flake off naturally. Your skin underneath will look pink and fresh. Some areas may heal faster than others.

Days 7–10: Most carbon dots have shed. Skin may still appear pink or slightly red. This is normal and fades over the following weeks.

Weeks 2–4: Skin continues to heal and settle. You may notice some temporary darkening or unevenness — this is part of the process, not a sign of damage.

Weeks 6–12: This is when the real results start to show. Collagen production is in full swing and the lifting, tightening, and smoothing effects become visible.

The things people don’t warn you about

It looks worse before it looks better. The carbon dots can be alarming if you don’t know what to expect. Days 2–4 are typically the most intense. If you have an important event, plan your treatment at least 2–3 weeks in advance.

You cannot rush the healing. Picking at carbon dots before they’re ready can cause scarring and hyperpigmentation. Patience is non-negotiable.

Sun protection is everything. Freshly healed skin is extremely vulnerable to UV damage. Strict sun avoidance and SPF are mandatory during healing and for several weeks after.

Results take time. Don’t judge your results at day 10. The full effect of Fibroblast develops over 8–12 weeks as collagen continues to rebuild. Most clients are amazed by what they see at the 3-month mark.

Darker skin tones require extra care. Fibroblast is recommended for Fitzpatrick I–III. If you have a deeper complexion, a patch test is required to assess how your skin responds before a full treatment.
